In a thrilling night session at F1 Singapore qualifying, George Russell delivered a flawless performance to take pole position for the race. His rapid 1:29.165 lap put him just ahead of Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri, capping off an intense qualifying under the floodlights. Mercedes’ pace looked formidable, while McLaren battled hard in a tense three-part showdown.

Q1
Every driver started on soft tyres in the qualifying’s evening. After the first flying laps Verstappen led by 1:30.317 ahead of Hamilton and Norris. Hadjar continued his great performance and was standing 4th, followed by Leclerc. Piastri’s first lap was interrupted with a yellow flag, therefore the championship leader had to run another lap.
In the middle part of the Q1 seemed as the soft tyres working well as the asphalt getting cooler. Piastri came a safety 6th, meanwhile the other drivers became faster as well.
The final minutes showed an unexpected result: Hamilton set the fastest time (1:29.765). At the end Gasly stopped by a mechanical issue.

Q2
Verstappen opened 1:29.747 and set the fastest time on the chart. The McLarens came 2nd and 3rd only. Ferrari drivers ran oppositely: Hamilton was standing among the fastest drivers, while Leclerc had two mistakes on two different laps.
The second tries brang Mercedes’s flash: Russell and Antonelli topped on the chart, but Norris and Piastri could not be fast enough and finished on 4-5th only. Leclerc saved a great 6th finally.

Q3
Russell shifted up a gear and ran a 1:29.165 with a wall-touched final corner. Verstappen was 2nd and Piastri was 3rd after the first flying laps.
Russell’s almost 2-tenth-advantage seems enough, but on his second lap could improve 7-thousands. Verstappen stayed 2nd and Piastri 3rd. Antonelli came 4th, Norris could not get faster, finishing in 5th only. Hamilton and Leclerc were 6-7th.
